Course Description
COMD-105S-01 explores research methods, imagination, creative concepts, and content development, all through the lens of personal perspective. Centered on the dynamic design culture of New York City, this course guides students through tackling graphic design challenges, analyzing design work, and offering meaningful critique.
Through field trips to institutions such as Cooper Hewitt, Posterhouse, a Brooklyn design studio, and an NYC type safari, students will gain real-world inspiration. Practical assignments throughout the course will help translate these experiences into thoughtful, portfolio-ready projects.
