Bulletin Description
This design studio course will build the foundation of graphic design principles and apply them to create a compelling and impressive portfolio. We will learn techniques to channel and communicate our abundant creativity through mood boards, mind maps, creative briefs, and writing effective artist statements. I also firmly believe that knowledge of typography is the secret weapon of any graphic designer, and we will spend a lot of time researching, finding, and working with letterforms. Through studio time and class critiques, we will produce outstanding portfolio pieces that we can talk about with confidence.
